Kirk Allen Arbogast became Founder, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Achor Technologies, Inc., effective January 1, 2012.
Achor Technologies is a corporation designing, developing and deploying new technologies in the marketplace. With corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Achor has operations in Las Vegas, San Francisco and Washington D.C.
As Founder, Chairman and President, Mr. Arbogast, presides over the Board of Directors by advising and directing the board of directors in the company’s annual operations and performance.
As the CEO, Mr. Arbogast presides over the organization’s day-to-day operations, and sets the vision for the company.
Mr. Arbogast is the company’s primary representative, both internally and externally; setting policy and strategy; motivating employees; and driving change within the organization.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Arbogast had been Founder, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SimpleSearch.com since March 19, 1998.
Mr. Arbogast turned his patent pending concept into a leading technology to replace directory 411 assistance (1-800-INFO-USA), into a user-friendly land line, mobile and website application service, and into a rapidly expanding company growing in popularity. SimpleSearch.com became a technology leader by combining his technology into a simple way to access products and services both internationally and in the United States.
Before starting SimpleSearch.com, Mr. Arbogast was a Senior Executive at Sprint (NYSE:S), formerly Sprint Cellular Communications, and a senior executive at Cellular One, McCaw Communications, acquired by AT&T (NYSE:T), formerly ATT Wireless Services (NYSE:AWE), respectively. Mr. Arbogast was also top account manager for Cybertel Cellular prior to the acquisition by Ameritech.
Inventing and deploying new technologies is nothing new for Mr. Arbogast. He has a patent pending for the technology he developed for the directory software behind 1-800-INFO-USA, and has a current patent pending in the United Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for his latest invention, Giftwish™ Box.
In 1988, he was honored with the Outstanding Young Men of America award, recognizing his many achievements both professionally and personally. Mr. Arbogast was nominated for the Ernst & Young 2000 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for his business leadership. He was nominated by former Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn as a key member of the Advisory Committee for the State of Nevada Technology Strategy, as recommended by his business advisor and personal friend, Sigmund Rogich of Rogich Communications Group, headquar- tered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He has met with and advised international leaders in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait City, and other foreign cities on telecommunication infrastructure, design and technology advancements.
Mr. Arbogast is a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville where he received a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communications/Business Marketing Management.
